This is a One Name Study to collect together in one place everything about one surname and the variants of that name. The hope is that other researchers like you will join our study to help make it a valuable reference point for people studying lines that cross or intersect. The challenge I face is that both the Winterton and Dunstan male line runs dry after John Edward Martin Winterton and Percival Lee Dunstan. Both these grand parents came to South Africa in the early 1900's and I cannot find any reference to them on other sites. I am a bit sceptical about the free trials when supplying credir card numbers as the ZAR is undervalued and therefore the cost is high when things don't go according to plan. I have made this project my interest and hobby and would appreciate anyone who knows of the Wintertons and Dunstans who both lived in Norfolk Road Observatory Cape Town.

Thanking you in anticipation. Steve Winterton.

Hi! I created the companion category for your name study (Category:Winterton Name Study). Feel free to edit it. The default for the template is to add the main category, but you can add a line to have a different category. See the ONS template page for details. Give me a holler if you have any questions about categorization.

I also created a redirect, so Project:Winterton (the link for the button from the Winterton surname page) brings you to this page.

Cheers, Liz
